Ncaa Basketball: The Official 1999 Men’s Basketball Records Book (Ncaa Mens Basketball Records)
Don't touch this book with an 8 foot poll!!! This book is sadder than a funeral!! What dumb author wasted his time on this!!!
Customer Review: A MUST have book for any Basketball stat junkie.
As a person who enjoys basketball stats, I found this one to be one of the best books out there. All three Divisions are covered and almost all possible stats are listed by timeframe, school, etc... I just wish the ACC had a similiar book. The only noticable fault is that this book lists consensus All-Americans instead of listed how each specific organization voted. I would have liked to have seen an even more indepth view of the voting by the AP, UPI, etc... Furthermore, they do not list 3rd Team All-America for some odd reason. Finally, this book does NOT go into Conference (ACC, SEC, etc...) records, just NCAA records. Overall, A GREAT book that I highly recommend! -DBD
Eight Girls, 18-0: A Basketball Dream Season
The WOLA Middle School Girls' basketball team was guided from having a close record of 13-1 to realizing the dream of having a perfect basketball season with a record of 18-0 by the crucial coaching skills of Coach Mabel, Coach Ellen (a substitute coach), two parents of team players, Coach Kay, and Coach Lu. The WOLA defending champions was the team to beat in the 2005-2006 season. The WOLA girls found a way to dig deep within themselves on occasions when they were behind on points and short on energy. The basketball talents of this special group of girls and their coaching staff proved to be as unstoppable as the coming together of natural atmospheric conditions that create a perfect storm.
